There is so much confusion about what pickup Washburn used for their Nuno and Dimebag guitars. The fact is we sold to Washburn for a period of 5 years. ( See one of many purchase orders we received from Washburn dated February 12, 1997. Btw, we shipped, for the Nuno guitar, the L-500L. The L-500XL was the pickup used on Dimebag's guitar) We also made on special request, fromWashburn, several prototype pickups for Dimebag which we found out later that one of these were used as a prototype for the DimeBucker. Recent measurements revealed that the Dimebucker was almost identical to the measurement of an "L-500 L+" prototype that we sent to Dimebag.

We also measured several Wajcman pickups that he falsely calls an "L-500XL." We don't know what it's supposed to be but it's not an XL neither an L.

The Wajcman pickup he calls an XL has about 24.3% lesser output than Bill's original L-500XL AND a 25.9% frequency shift to the higher midrange resulting in a dramatic loss of lows.
